This module is part of the NatureCounts Post-secondary Curriculum.

Module 3 will introduce you to the Bird Monitoring Data Exchange (BMDE), the schema by which all data from NatureCounts are formatted. Understanding the BMDE is crucial for working with any data from NatureCounts, as the meaning of the data may not always be immediately clear if you are unfamiliar with the schema. Learning to interpret data formatted using the BMDE will allow you to understand any of the roughly 1000 datasets hosted by NatureCounts. It will also familiarize you with data schemas more generally.
